GEAR GUIDE
WoW Gear Recommendation Guide
The best item is not identical for every character. LOGMATE compares your current setup with the choices made by leading players of the same specialization, then highlights upgrades that are worth pursuing next.
Recommendations start with your current setup
We first review equipped item levels, tier bonuses, trinkets, weapons, and the distribution of secondary stats. Even a popular item is not treated as an immediate upgrade when it is below your current item level or would break an active tier bonus.
The result is a comparison rather than a fixed best-in-slot list. Drop difficulty, available crafting materials, and the upgrades you already own should all influence the order in which you farm items.
Top-player rankings are evidence, not an absolute command
Usage rankings show which items repeatedly appear among high-performing characters of the same specialization. They are a strong starting point, but boss strategy, Mythic+ routes, tier combinations, and trinket interactions can change the best choice for an individual character.
High usage alone does not earn a BIS label. LOGMATE uses BIS only when both the data and the item effect provide clear evidence; otherwise the item is described as a top-player recommendation or a comparison candidate.
Upgrade the largest effects first
Weapons, powerful trinkets, and completion of a four-piece bonus usually create the largest changes. Lower item-level slots, missing enchants, and empty sockets come next, while remaining non-tier slots can be used to improve secondary-stat balance.
Candidates that the specialization cannot equip are removed. One-handed, two-handed, ranged, dual-wield, and shield rules are applied before an item is shown as a recommendation.
